“Posso tomar banho de ervas na cabeça?”
Essa é a pergunta mais frequente a respeito de banhos de ervas. Vamos procurar respondê-la levando em conta as informações de ADRIANO CAMARGO, no seu livro “Rituais com Ervas- Banhos, Defumações e Benzimentos”, recém-lançado pela Editora Livre Expressão.
●Como regral geral, a resposta é afirmativa: o banho de ervas pode ser tomado desde a cabeça, sem problema algum. ●A única exceção fica para o chamado “impedimento religioso”: quando a pessoa tem uma crença religiosa que a impede de banhar-se na cabeça. Aí se indica o banho a partir dos ombros.
Na Umbanda, especificamente, o banho de ervas pode ser tomado na cabeça, uma vez que:
1- Fazemos banhos com ervas conhecidas (já sabendo para quais finalidades elas servem). Ou por orientação de um Guia Espiritual (ou de pessoa da nossa confiança) que tem esse conhecimento; 2- As ervas serão previamente consagradas a Deus, aos Orixás e/ou aos Guias Espirituais, por meio de uma oração; 3- O nosso propósito é o Bem (na oração de consagração, também vamos especificar qual é o nosso objetivo naquele banho, tais como: limpeza energética, equilíbrio, cura, prosperidade, mediunidade etc.).
De forma que não há o que temer. Muitos “temores” passam de boca em boca, mas sem uma explicação fundamentada. Podemos pensar, por exemplo, no banho de sal, que muitas pessoas jamais aplicariam na cabeça. No entanto, entramos no mar e nos banhamos de corpo inteiro, inclusive na cabeça, e sem problemas. E a água do mar contém sal…
Porém, se a crença particular da pessoa não lhe permite banhar-se na cabeça, com nenhum tipo de erva, isto precisa ser respeitado! Cada religião tem seus fundamentos, “o seu Sagrado”, que precisamos respeitar. A melhor forma de demonstrarmos nosso amor por Deus e pelos Sagrados Orixás é respeitar a crença alheia, porque todos nós somos filhos do mesmo e Único Deus! GANDHI já afirmava: “Para mim, as diferentes religiões são lindas flores, provenientes do mesmo jardim. Ou são ramos da mesma árvore majestosa. Portanto, são todas verdadeiras”.
Muitos umbandistas vieram de outras religiões, nas quais o banho na cabeça era proibido; e, no íntimo, ainda guardam tal crença. E mesmo dentro da Umbanda há Templos com maior influência africana, outros ainda com maior influência nativa (indígena), católica, espírita, ou oriental. Dependendo dos valores ali predominantes, cada Templo seguirá uma orientação, que devemos respeitar. Nestes casos, é melhor a pessoa seguir seu coração, respeitando suas crenças, de modo a fazer seus banhos com tranquilidade e devoção.
►Importante: Só NÃO é recomendável o uso exagerado de ervas quentes (ou agressivas), seja na cabeça seja apenas a partir dos ombros. Um excesso na quantidade dessas ervase/ouna frequência desse tipo de banho pode nos causar uma baixa energética. Por quê? E quais seriam as ervas quentes? ADRIANO CAMARGO classifica como quentes (ou agressivas) as ervas que fazem uma limpeza profunda em nosso campo energético. Aqui, a palavra “quente” não tem ligação com a idéia de temperatura. “Quentes” são as ervas de forte poder ácido, que atuam de forma agressiva e “arrancam” tudo que encontram pela frente. Logo, devem ser usadas com moderação. Usadas em excesso, elas podem nos causar baixa energética: a pessoa pode sentir-se “mole”, sonolenta, indisposta. Banhos só com ervas quentes (ou com muitas delas) são indicados apenas quando há necessidade de uma limpeza profunda (remover bloqueios e acúmulos energéticos negativos, larvas e miasmas astrais; quebra de magias negativas; libertação espiritual e cura de enfermidades decorrentes; etc.). Mesmo assim, convém dar um bom intervalo de tempo entre um banho e outro; recomendação que também vale para médiuns ativos (que participam de atendimentos espirituais).
●Explicação de Adriano Camargo: assim como não se aplica com frequência um produto ácido num piso, para não danificá-lo, não podemos exagerar no uso de banhos com ervas agressivas porque elas agem em nosso campo energético durante cerca de oito horas, removendo tudo que encontram; e a pessoa poderá sentir-se indisposta. Ele indica que se faça banho de limpeza profunda antes de dormir: enquanto a pessoa dorme, aquele poder ácido atua sem lhe causar incômodos; ao despertar, ela estará renovada e disposta.
Exemplos de ervas quentes para banhos: Aroeira; Arruda; Buchinha-do-norte; Casca de Alho; Casca de Cebola; Dandá ou Dandá-da-costa; Erva-de-bicho; Espada de Santa Bárbara; Espada deSão Jorge; Eucalipto; Guiné; Jurema Preta; Picão Preto; Quebra-demanda.Podemos usar apenas uma erva dessas, ou mais(sem exagero…).
►E qual seria a origem provável do “temor” pelos banhos na cabeça?
Adriano Camargo comenta que ele pode ter origem no período da escravidão africana, e da seguinte forma: na terra natal, os africanos usavam largamente as ervas. Cada Nação cultuava determinado Orixá, consagrando-lhe uma ou mais ervas. Com a escravidão, membros de diferentes Nações e Cultos viram-se forçados a conviver num mesmo ambiente. Alguns eram sacerdotes e grandes conhecedores das ervas, e procuraram guardar seus conhecimentos para preservar sua cultura e religiosidade (daí, em parte, terem surgido os “segredos” e proibições na manipulação de ervas e de outros elementos).
O fato é que esses escravos não encontraram, aqui no Brasil, as mesmas espécies de ervas conhecidas na África. E, com certeza, não puderam trazer seus elementos ritualísticos nos navios negreiros. Como esses navios também transportavam grãos (cereais), em meio desses grãos podem ter vindo para o Brasil algumas sementes, que mais tarde viriam a florescer; explicando-se o posterior surgimento, aqui, de algumas plantas nativas da África (exemplo: guiné).
Enfim, no início da escravidão, por não conhecerem as ervas nativas do Brasil, aqueles escravos também desconheciam se elas eram tóxicas, ou não. Usá-las em banhos vertidos sobre a cabeça representava um risco de contaminação (intoxicação) pelos olhos, ouvidos, nariz e boca…Muito provável é que, para evitar esse risco, tenha surgido o costume de não se fazer banhos na cabeça, mas somente a partir dos ombros. Isso foi passando de boca em boca, até chegar aos dias atuais. É uma hipótese (que eu já tinha ouvido de um Preto Velho, em meados de 1976, no início do meu desenvolvimento mediúnico)…
●Concluindo: se a crença religiosa da pessoa não lhe veda o banho na cabeça, então ele poderá ser tomado sem problema algum; apenas com o cuidado de não se exagerar no uso de ervas quentes. Banho de pinhão roxo, me deixou fraco por dias.
Banho de Artemísia na cabeça me deixou meio desorientado e enérgico por algumas semanas.
