O Olubajé é uma cerimônia do candomblé em homenagem ao orixá Omolu, que tem como intuito agradar essa divindade ofertando-lhe comida num rito sacrificial, relacionar os pratos tradicionais contidos nesta oferenda e toda a dramatização que envolve simbolicamente a narrativa de itans desse orixá não é uma análise simples e linear, visto que inclui a maioria dos orixás e suas respectivas comidas.
Que podem revelar situações de rivalidade, conflitos, doenças, pragas e ao mesmo tempo a cura e o perdão.
É uma das cerimônias em que se tem mais cuidado dentro dos terreiros de candomblé, afirmam alguns sacerdotes. Pois, os alimentos ali oferecidos são muitas vezes responsáveis pela saúde, pelo livramento da morte e das doenças.
